After less than two years, MANCHESTER UNITED and shirt sponsor TeamViewer have ended its £235 million agreement.

The Red Devils and the software business had already committed to a lucrative five-year deal in March 2021.

Since the end of the previous season, Manchester United has worn TeamViewer on their jerseys. However, the two organizations are no longer affiliated after the German technology company cited Man Utd as the cause of a decline in its stock price.

Since the announcement of the acquisition, TeamViewer's share price has dropped by over half, with shares presently trading at £10.55 as opposed to £31.65.

A statement read: "Manchester United shall have the option to buy back the rights to the club’s shirt front sponsorship.

"United will be taking the opportunity to commence a focused sales process for a new shirt front partner."

The Ukrainian conflict and the pandemic's consequences, among other things, have adversely hampered investment, according to the software business.

However, the share price rose by 5% in August when TeamViewer said it would not be renewing its contract with United.
