Manchester United boss Erik Den Hag has revealed that The Red Devils will not be quick to take decisions on future of Dean Henderson.

Reportminds Blog understands that Dean Henderson is currently on loan at Nottingham Forest, where he is playing regularly.

The end of Dean Henderson's season-long loan with Nottingham Forest will determine his future at Manchester United, Den Hag confirms.

Henderson, 25, criticized Ole Gunnar Solskjaer for breaking his promise to replace David de Gea as the team's primary goalkeeper and for treating him in a "criminal" manner.

The academy graduate has not communicated with manager Erik ten Hag, under whom Henderson refused to train for fear of not being permitted to join Forest. This season, Henderson has communicated with Richard Hartis, United's goalkeeping coach.

United is willing to talk to De Gea about a new contract for Henderson, which would appear to mean that Henderson will have to leave United permanently. Henderson has a contract with United that runs through 2025.

Prior to Forest's first Old Trafford match in 24 years, for which Henderson is ineligible, Ten Hag discussed Henderson's future: No, I wouldn't make that decision now. He most likely has a one-season credit. Throughout the season and at the season's conclusion, we will make a decision based on a variety of factors. He is doing a fantastic job at Nottingham Forest.

Henderson has only played 29 games for United since joining as a schoolboy in 2011. He has been on six loans.

Henderson made two of the team's three appearances last season under interim manager Ralf Rangnick. Henderson is said to have told Solskjaer that he didn't like making difficult decisions.

Newcastle considered Henderson in the summer, but settled on Nick Pope, who had a permanent contract available. Forest covers Henderson's wages completely, so United were reluctant to sell him.

Even though De Gea is nearing the end of his six-month contract, the team has the option to extend it for an additional year. Despite the fact that he is not as sought after as he was in previous summers, De Gea has stated that he wants to play for United for the rest of his career.

In order to reclaim his place in the England squad for the European Championship, which takes place in Germany in just 18 months, Henderson is likely to demand a move to the Premier League in the summer.
