Tottenham Hotspur v OGC Nice - Friendly

With a 1-1 draw against Nice, Tottenham Hotspur concluded their preparations for the return to the Premier League.

Since their dramatic 4-3 victory over Leeds last month, this was their first match at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Matt Doherty scored once more, and Pape Matar Sarr made his home debut for the first time.

Harvey White was given a chance to play false nine once more, and his adaptability could help him get the loan move next month that he needs.

After their exploits in Qatar, Son Heung-min and Eric Dier also returned to action, with the South Korean still wearing a protective mask.
Meanwhile Arsenal loanee Nicolas Pepe was booed when he returned to north London last night, it didn't take them long to get back into the swing of things.

If you recall that Pepe's time at Arsenal did not go according to plan, as the Ivory Coast international arrived at The Emirates for a club record £72 million fee.

Pepe is currently on loan at Nice this season, but his reception from the home crowd yesterday was anything but pleasant.

Pepe is used to being booed at rival clubs, and last night could have been no different. In three seasons at the club, he only managed to reach double figures in goals once. He is now back playing in France.

Since arriving on the French Riviera, the right-winger has scored six goals across all competitions.
