Even as the nation declares three days of mourning, photos and the location of one of football's greats' final resting place have been made public.

Reportminds Blog understands that Pele body will be laid to rest on Thursday, December 29 after he passed away. Pelé chose to be buried at the Ecumenical Necropolis Memorial in 2003.

The legend passed away after being admitted to Soa Paulo's Albert Einstein Hospital because he had been diagnosed with colon cancer in September 2021 and had not responded to treatment. He was diagnosed with kidney and heart failure by the hospital on December 21.

On the third day following the wake that will be held the day before in Vila Belmiro, the private burial ceremony for his loved ones will take place.

19 years ago, Pelé purchased the spot where he will rest forever. A vertical cemetery named after his father, who wore that number as a professional football player, where he will occupy the ninth floor.

Then again, the Ecumenical Necropolis Remembrance is found only 850 meters from the Santos arena, where Pelé became perhaps of the best footballer ever. He, one of the greatest footballers in history, and Vila Belmiro will always be separated by a few meters. In the coming months, the stadium will be renovated to become a much more modern one with a larger capacity.

In a public procession, the three-time world champion will arrive at his burial site, where tens of thousands of people are likely to gather. Being communicated on TV all through the country is likewise planned.
