After the two of them had an awkward moment at the World Cup, Barcelona star Robert Lewandowski has revealed what he told Lionel Messi at full-time.
Messi, 35, won a controversial penalty but missed his spot kick in the first half.
However, in the second half, when Alexis Mac Allister and Julian Alvarez scored, he returned to his old self and contributed to the victory.
Lewandowski, on the other hand, was much more reserved, but toward the end of the game, he and Messi got into an odd situation.
The Polish striker attempted to apologize after fouling the PSG star.
But Messi clearly ignored his attempts to communicate because he was so focused on getting Argentina over the line.
Lewandowski, on the other hand, made it clear what the two were talking about when they were caught talking all the time.
He stated to Bild: "We had fun and talked briefly.I told Messi that I played defensively more than usual, but sometimes that's what the team needs.
He added, referring to his more defensive role in fouling the Argentine: "This is extremely uncommon, yes:Me in the middle of the defense. However, I knew I had to assist the team."
Lewandowski, who joined Barcelona a year after Messi's heartbreaking departure, hardly showed any signs of progress.
Poland had led the group going into the night, but they only qualified at one point because they had received fewer yellow cards than Mexico.
