Gera Ponce, Luis Diaz's partner, provided an update from the Liverpool star's hospital bed following knee surgery.
The 25-year-old Colombian has been out of action since October and will be sidelined for a further three months following surgery.
Diaz had hoped to return this week, but before Liverpool's match against Lyon in Dubai, he complained of a serious problem. Diaz then took a flight back to England for surgery on his lateral collateral ligament.
The caption read: 'Sometimes the difficulties that occur in our life directly prepare us to take an extraordinary path.
'Now patience and strength are essential. But, above all, the love of the family.
Recall that Diaz paid £37.5 million to join Liverpool at the beginning of 2022.

On her Instagram Story, his wife Ponce posted images of Diaz and their one-year-old daughter Roma at the hospital following his procedure.
She added: 'We are all here for you, the same as always. And we will see you rise stronger, we love you.'

Diaz had high hopes for a return in Dubai this past weekend but experienced a serious setback.
