Reportminds Blog has learned that the midfielder suffered a knee injury in the match against Bournemouth at Old Trafford.
Erik ten Hag, manager of Manchester United, made the announcement earlier today that the midfielder will be out for the remainder of the season.
After colliding with Marcos Senesi in our 3-0 victory at Old Trafford, the 25-year-old was forced to leave the field against Bournemouth earlier this month.
Ten Hag stated that Van de Beek will be hoping to return for 2023/24 because he may be back for preseason.
Van de Beek has already undergone surgery, which he announced today to his supporters as "successful."
He also expressed his gratitude to the well-wishers and promised to do everything in his power to return as an even better player.
Captioning the photos of himself on the hospital bed after the surgery, he wrote: "I am really disappointed that the season is over for me😔.
"After successful surgery, it’s time to start my recovery process and will do everything to come back stronger for this club💪🏻🔴
"Thank you all for the lovely messages, they mean a lot to me and my family. "
Since returning from his loan stint with Everton last season, the Dutch midfielder has reportedly made ten appearances for the Reds.
