Leandro Trossard is supposedly the player who Arsenal is in advanced talks to acquire after losing out on Mykhaylo Mudryk.

Fabrizio Romano claims that the Gunners are prepared to sign Trossard, despite recent links to Chelsea and Tottenham for the wanted by Brighton player.

Leandro Trossard, a Belgian international who now plays for Brighton, and Arsenal have already reached an agreement on personal conditions for a January transfer to the Emirates Stadium.

After spending three and a half seasons in blue and white, Brighton recently exercised a 12-month option to extend the player's contract, making it now set to expire in 2024. Despite this, the player's future still appears to lie elsewhere.

The Seagulls may now be obliged to offload the forward for the benefit of the locker room as Trossard appears unable to commit to De Zerbi's ambition.

As the agreement gets closer, conversations between the two teams are already in an advanced level, according to Fabrizio Romano.

He tweeted: "Arsenal have opened talks to sign Leandro Trossard from Brighton, negotiations are advanced with official bid ready for permanent move. Personal terms already agreed — talks will continue to get deal done soon."
