Cedric Soares set to complete move to Fulham as Marco Silva side agrees to pay £100k-a-week Arsenal wages in full

Reportminds.com can confirm that Arsenal defender Cedric Soares will sign a loan agreement with Fulham. 

By the end of the week, the loan transfer of defender Cedric Soares from Arsenal to Fulham is anticipated to be finalized.

While Fulham will not have the option or duty to purchase the Portuguese fullback from the Gunners, he will join the team for a period of six months.

Silva made it a priority to get Soares, a veteran Premier League defender with 158 games played, to Craven Cottage during this transfer window.

Soares hasn't made a league start for Arsenal yet this year, but under his previous boss, he should have more opportunities to play.

Fulham will pay his entire salary, which is expected to be up to £100k a week, in the hopes that the full-back will give Silva's team a winning attitude and versatility.

Since they worked together at Sporting Lisbon, where Silva managed Soares from 2014 to 2015, the two are well acquainted.

After losing 1-0 to Tottenham on Monday, Fulham now sits in seventh position with 31 points this season despite not having the new full-back.
