Benoit Badiashile, a defender for Monaco, has been signed by Chelsea to a £35 million, seven-and-a-half-year contract.
Badiashile is one of the top young left-footed center backs in Europe, and Chelsea has been interested in him since the summer.
On Monday, Badiashile completed his medical and joined Chelsea as their second acquisition of the January transfer window.
Badiashile made his Monaco debut in 2018 at the age of 17 and went on to make 135 appearances for his old team. The 6'4" defensive back made his full international debut for France in September 2022, but Didier Deschamps did not include him in his World Cup roster for Qatar.
