Chelsea owner Todd Boehly has turned his attention to Hollywood as he walks the Golden Globes red carpet in 2023.
The 49-year-old American, who also owns the Los Angeles Dodgers, typically watches his teams from the stands, but on Tuesday, he was seen walking the same red carpet as some of Hollywood's most famous faces.
It follows Boehly's resignation as Chelsea's interim sporting director, where he was in charge of their £270 million summer spending.
After completing the £4.25 billion acquisition of Chelsea from Roman Abramovich in May, Boehly had a busy 2022. He also became the owner of the Golden Globes after the Hollywood Foreign Press Association voted to give Eldridge Industries ownership of the award show.
Eldridge set up a new for-profit private company to acquire the rights to all of the Golden Globes' intellectual property in order to save the awards show.
After Boehly quit as Chelsea's interim sporting director, he still has one less job.
After Marina Granovskaia and Petr Cech left the Blues last summer, the co-owner offered himself the position and has since led transfer negotiations at the west London club.
Chelsea is 10th in the league, 10 points behind fourth-place Manchester United, despite spending £270 million on new players like Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Raheem Sterling, Marc Cucurella, Kalidou Koulibaly, and Wesley Fofana last summer.
The pair were seen last week with Chelsea's new star Benoit Badiashile, who signed a seven-year contract with the club after spending £35 million to leave Monaco.
The west London club is looking for a right back to replace injured star defender Reece James. The recruitment team also wants to add a new midfielder and wide forward to Graham Potter's team.
In the meantime, Joao Felix and his girlfriend took a private jet to London to complete a medical before signing a £9 million half-season loan with Atletico Madrid.
