Antonio Conte, the manager of Tottenham Hotspur, has acknowledged that Dejan Kulusevski will require additional test before Wednesday's Premier League matchup with Crystal Palace.
The 22-year-old was seen traveling to the game against Aston Villa with the rest of the team, but he was unexpectedly left off the starting lineup and the substitutes' bench.
Kulusevski's minor muscular issue quickly became apparent as Conte's team fell to a 2-0 loss in North London without the Juventus loanee.
Conte was unable to guarantee that Kulusevski would be able to participate in Wednesday's London derby, where Rodrigo Bentancur and Richarlison will also be absent, during the pre-game press conference on Tuesday.
"Kulusevski is not a serious injury but you know we need to monitor it day by day and tomorrow and then we take the best decision," football.london quotes Conte as saying.
"I don't know [if he can face Palace]. We have today and tomorrow to check his situation. We'll see. The injury is not serious. If the player gives his availability then he could play. Otherwise we have to wait and have patience for the next game."
Due to his groin injury, Bentancur will also be unable to play against Portsmouth in the FA Cup third round this weekend. However, the Uruguayan international could return for the January 15 North London derby against Arsenal.
Richarlison will undergo a new scan soon to determine the extent of the thigh injury he suffered while playing for Brazil at the World Cup.
Conte was questioned about his future in North London as he has entered the final six months of his contract and will also be without the suspended Yves Bissouma and the injured Lucas Moura for Wednesday's game.
