Ronald Koeman became the head coach of the Dutch national team today after formally signing a contract with the Dutch Football Association.
The 59-year-old Koeman played during the player period for teams including Groningen, Ajax, PSV Eindhoven, Barcelona, and Feyenoord. He started working as a coach soon after he retired. In the beginning, he worked as an assistant coach with Barcelona and the Dutch national team. coached Southampton, Everton, Barcelona, Valencia, Alkmaar, Feyenoord, Ajax, Vitesse, and Benfica.
Koeman is in his second season as head coach of the Dutch national team. He previously served as the Oranje's head coach from 2018 to 2020, however he departed at Barcelona's request.
The Dutch official tweeted: "Signed! Today Koeman officially debuted as the coach of the Dutch national team. Welcome and good luck! Time for new oranje memories!"
