After just over six years at Mainz and seven complete seasons at Borussia Dortmund, Klopp's tenure at Liverpool has lasted more than seven years, making it the longest of his managerial career to date.
The German had been expected to leave Liverpool in 2024 when his previous contract expired, but he later agreed to new terms earlier this year that would keep him with the club through 2026.
“If I end the contract in Liverpool, then nothing will definitely be done for a year,” he told Bild.
In addition, Klopp hasn't ruled out coaching the Germany national team before his retirement, a position he has been frequently linked to in recent years.
"It's not completely out of the question that I'll be the national coach at some point. But it has to fit. And so far it hasn't,” the two-time Bundesliga winner explained.
