In response to Daddy Freeze's position on giving money to affluent parents, Reno Omokri wrote a piece.

Remember how Freeze said he never gave his mum any money? He continued by saying that providing money to your wealthy parents is not a blessing.

In response, Reno noted that the fifth commandment is to "honor your father and mother" on his Facebook.

"The Scripture does not teach that your parent's financial situation modifies this obligation," Reno continued.

Reno continued by stating that honoring your parents requires more than just words; it also requires "substance" in your actions.

He used the biblical example of Isaac. Isaac, according to him, was not in need, but when he wished to bless his son Esau, he requested a reward before he could release the blessing.
