Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink, a Chelsea legend, has attributed the club's loss to Manchester City in the Premier League on Thursday night to left-back Marc Cucurella.
Cucurella was the Blues' weakest player that night, according to Hasselbaink, who also said that the former Brighton star is a problem for his manager.
The only goal of the game was scored by Jack Grealish and Riyad Mahrez, who both came off the bench for City. The former scored off a superb assist from the latter to give Pep Guardiola's team a crucial victory.
English football analysts have harshly criticized the Spanish left-back for contributing to the goal.
Cucurella really struggled against City, according to Hasselbaink, and is a significant problem for Graham Potter.
“He [Cucurella] didn’t have a really good game at all, he was the weakest link,” Hasselbaink told Sky Sports.
“The weakest link was Cucurella and Man City acknowledged that.
‘It’s a problem.”
