Legendary Arsenal footballer, Ian Wright names a player whose "God sent" to the Gunners this season

Martin Odegaard has been praised by Arsenal great Ian Wright as God's gift to the club.

Martin Odegaard has been referred to as God's emissary to the club by Arsenal veteran Ian Wright.

Odegaard initially signed a loan agreement with Arsenal before committing to a long-term deal in the summer of 2022.

The Norwegian is currently having a great season with the Gunners so far this term. In 18 Premier League appearances this season, he has eight goals and five assists.

“I remember when Odegaard came. I did something for Norwegian TV," Wright said in his Wrighty Podcast.

"I was saying, 'I am very, very surprised we got him,' because, at the time, he was too good for us. He’s genuinely a God send,”
