Lionel Messi shares snaps of himself exchanging hugs with rival, Cristiano Ronaldo after friendly game in Saudi Arabia

PSG star Lionel Messi has taken to his social media space to share moment of him hugging his long time rival, Cristiano Ronaldo. 

The two players tagged, "GOAT" faced each other for thr first time since 2020 in a friendly game in Saudi Arabia on Thursday evening. 

Lionel Messi, the World Cup winner, posted a photo of his embrace with Ronaldo following the game on Instagram.

The two well-known footballers were observed displaying their mutual admiration for one another.

The Saudi fans cheered enthusiastically when Ronaldo scooped up the ball on the halfway line and deftly nutmegged Carlos Soler in the 11th minute.

After canceling Messi's penalty from the third minute, he then scored with a deft finish from the penalty spot in the 34th minute.

Lionel Messi led Paris Saint-Germain came out victorious at the end with a 5-4 scoreline.
