After a trial that began in August 2022, he was found not guilty of one count of sexual assault and six counts of rape.

The jury failed to reach a verdict on two additional charges against Mendy after 14 days of deliberation at Chester Crown Court: one count of rape against a woman aged 24 in October 2020 and one count of attempted rape against a woman aged 29 in October 2018.

Mendy will be tried again by the Crown Prosecution Service for the two charges of rape and attempted rape that the jury could not decide on.

Louis Saha Matturie, Mendy's co-accused, has been found not guilty of three charges. Six charges could result in a retrial against him.

Reportminds Blog understands that The trial came to an end on Friday, January 13, when Judge Everettt released the jury.

Since 10 August, 13 women had accused both men of multiple sexual offenses.

The prosecutor, Matthew Conway, stated that the prosecution would seek a new trial for the counts on which the jury could not reach a verdict.
