Benjamin Mendy, a 28-year-old star for Manchester City, is shown for the first time following his acquittal on all six counts of rape and one count of sexual assault.
Benjamin Mendy, a player for Manchester City, has been seen in public for the first time since he was exonerated on all six charges of rape and one count of sexual assault.
Two weeks after the conclusion of his trial, Mendy, 28, was spotted out and about in Cheshire with two friends. He was seen grinning and appearing at ease.
After the jury at Chester Crown Court was unable to reach a verdict on January 13, he will be tried again on one count of rape and one count of attempted rape.
The jury of seven men and four women, with one member dismissed early for medical reasons, returned unanimous judgments.
According to Mendy's attorney Jenny Wiltshire, the football player is "delighted" to have been found not guilty of sexually assaulting four women and "looks forward" to proving his innocence in a retrial on the two further charges so he may "rebuild his life."
