After scoring twice against Oxford United to secure a matchup against Manchester City in the FA Cup's fourth round, Mikel Arteta claims that Eddie Nketiah of Arsenal is taking advantage of his opportunity.

Since Gabriel Jesus, a Brazilian forward, had a knee injury at the World Cup, the 23-year-old has continued to fill in for Gabriel Jesus and has now scored five goals in as many games.

Arsenal will travel to Tottenham Hotspur stadium to face their London rival, on Sunday, January 15, 4:00 p.m. Start at 4:30 p.m.

In the 3-0 triumph at the Kassam Stadium, Nketiah scored twice, two deft finishes putting the finishing touches on a challenging game after Mohamed Elneny's headed opening goal.

Nketiah, who began the season on the sidelines, is currently tied for the team's most goals with Gabriel Martinelli, Martin Odegaard, and Bukayo Saka, who are more frequently first-team starters.

"Obviously he's been waiting for this moment," Arteta said of Nketiah following the victory.

"He's been patient when he needed to be but as well he's been with the right mindset and preparing himself for this moment.

"That's why I think he looks ready and why he's performing the way he is. He showed great composure.

"He's a great finisher, the timing of his runs and the decision-making in waiting until the last moment when the keeper was committed shows his quality.

"His understanding, his work-rate, I think he's getting better and better."

Saka is "OK" despite limping off in the second half of Sunday's north London derby against Tottenham, according to Arteta, who also allayed concerns about an injury.
