Nottingham 1-1 Chelsea: Serge Aurier equaliser snatched a point as The Blues left frustrated despite Sterling early goal (Video)

On January 1st, Chelsea and Nottingham Forest played to a 1-1 draw in their Premier League matchup.

At Forest's City Ground, Raheem Sterling gave Chelsea the lead in the 16th minute, but Serge Aurier tied the score with an impressive finish in the 63rd.

Morgan Gibbs-White put Brennan Johnson through on goal for Forest in the 10th minute, but Kepa Arrizabalaga made a great save on both the initial shot and the follow-up.

But Sterling capitalized on a bizarre Willy Boly clearance attempt that bounced off the crossbar to give Chelsea the lead.

Following the break, Nottingham Forest made a strong offensive effort. Johnson forced Kepa to make another save in the 50th minute, and then Gibbs-White unleashed a spectacular shot that thundered off the bar and to safety.

After Chelsea failed to clear a corner, Forest finally scored when Aurier volleyed a shot past Kepa. The right-back celebrated the equalizer wildly.
