Juventus reacts as the team collapses to 10th place after being officially docked 15 points.
Several Juventus board members left their positions a few weeks ago owing to an ongoing financial inquiry. Following the completion of the inquiry, Serie A issued the team a severe penalty.
Juventus will lose 15 points in Serie A as a result of the club's capital gain infractions in the "Plusvalenza Case," according to the FIGC Prosecutor. This decrease brought Juventu's points down from 37 to 22. The team slipped from third to tenth place as well.
Juventus has responded to the penalty by issuing a press release about the ruling. It stated in part: "Company awaiting the publication of the reasons and announces as of now the appeal to the Sports Guarantee College in terms of the Sports Justice Code”.
Other sanctions in the scandal include a 2.5-year ban on playing football for Fabio Paratici, a 2-year ban for Agnelli and Arrivabene, an 8-month ban for Nedved, and a 1.4-year ban for Juve's current sports director Cherubini.
