Rapper Phyno disputes a claim made by a fan that he is a sickle cell carrier

Chibuzor Nelson Azubuike, better known as Phyno, a Nigerian rapper, has refuted a fan's claim that he has sickle cell disease.

His admiration for her had been expressed via Twitter by a fan. The fan claims that she fell in love with the rapper after "finding out he had sickle cell."

''Since I heard Phyno has sickle cell the love tripled, I pray God grants him the strength to keep fighting.”the fan wrote.

Phyno denied the claim but sincerely prayed for those battling the illness in his response,saying: ''Lol . No I’m not sickle cell. Love to everyone fighting it tho''
