Dani Carvajal, Alvaro Odriozola, and Mariano Diaz won't be available for Real Madrid's La Liga match against Villarreal on Saturday, Reportminds Blog understands.

The Spain international Carvajal has been experiencing muscular overload this week, therefore Los Blancos manager Carlo Ancelotti decided not to risk him ahead of a hectic period.

Odriozola, on the other hand, sustained an injury during Real Madrid's Copa del Rey match against Cacereno earlier this week. As a result, the defender will not be traveling to Villarreal.

The striker Mariano is also out with an ankle injury that he sustained during a training session, missing a third straight game for the reigning European and Spanish champions.

Thibaut Courtois's health had been questioned when he missed the Copa del Rey match with Cacereno owing to an injury, but the Belgian international has since been cleared.

Toni Kroos, Karim Benzema, Vinicius Junior, Luka Modric, and David Alaba are also back after missing the team's previous cup game.

Villarreal's new manager Quique Setien, who took over for Unai Emery, has changed the Yellow Submarine's playing style, therefore Ancelotti anticipates seeing a different Villarreal this weekend.

On January 10, Real Madrid will play Valencia in the Spanish Super Cup semifinals, with a potential final matchup against Barcelona or Real Betis four days later.
