The manager of Real Madrid, Carlo Ancelotti, has stated that Cristiano Ronaldo will always hold a special place in the hearts of Real Madrid fans.
The former Chelsea, PSG and Bayern Munich boss, made this statement in honor of another legend of Real Madrid, Gareth Bale, who announced his retirement from sport on Monday.
Bale, a former forward for Southampton and Tottenham, made his retirement announcement on Monday.
In 258 games with Madrid, the 33-year-old scored 106 goals and provided 67 assists.
The former Tottenham Hotspur forward won the Copa del Rey once, the Champions League five times, and La Liga three times.
After eight years with the La Liga juggernaut, he parted ways with Los Blancos this past summer.
The Welshman and Ronaldo, according to Ancelotti, are club legends. “Cristiano Ronaldo is a Real Madrid legend just like Gareth Bale who retired yesterday. They’ll always be in the hearts of the Madridistas,” he told the press on Tuesday.
