Star of the Avengers Jeremy Renner claims a snowplow accident resulted in 30 broken bones.

A snowplow accident on New Year's Day left "Avengers" actor Jeremy Renner in the hospital for more than two weeks and reportedly shattered more than 30 bones.

Renner, who is best known for playing the heroic archer Hawkeye in the Marvel film and television "Universe," was hurt by a snowplow when it cleared a driveway close to his house in Nevada, suffering "blunt chest trauma and orthopedic injuries," according to his spokesperson.

Renner had "severe (difficulty) breathing" and was "totally crushed under a massive snowcat (vehicle)." "The right half of his chest has crumpled - his torso is crushed," it continues.

As soon as Renner got out of the driver's seat, the snowcat, an engine-powered vehicle used for clearing snow, began to move away, according to Washoe County Sheriff Darin Balaam.

He had two operations and received critical care unit treatment.

On Saturday, January 21, he shared a picture on Instagram with the caption:
