The formal statement was released. Vincent Aboubakar, a striker from Cameroon, formally leaves Al Nassr and joins Besiktas.
In reality, the 30-year-old center forward has departed Saudi Arabia. After Cristiano Ronaldo arrived, Vincent Aboubakar almost left and established a base in Turkey. He returns to the team he is familiar with two years after leaving Besiktas, having previously visited twice in 2016–17 and again in 2020–2021.
The Cameroon participated in 68 games while wearing the Turkish club's colors and scored 35 goals in all.
The decision of Vincent Aboubakar to leave Al-Nassr was down to the arrival of Cristiano Ronaldo who penned two years contract.
Due to Saudi League regulations limiting teams to eight foreign players per squad, Aboubakar's contract was cancelled by the Saudi Arabian club to make room for Ronaldo.
Wout Weghorst, who cut short his loan in Turkey and joined Manchester United from Burnley, is being replaced by Aboubakar.
Aboubakar has been at Besiktas for three years; he previously served for two of those years.
He led the team to two Super Lig championships with an outstanding 35 goals and nine assists in 67 games.
The striker played with Al-Nassr for two seasons, scoring 13 goals in 39 appearances.
