Marcus Rashford of Manchester United, who on Tuesday night shattered his home scoring record, has been urged to "keep it going" by DC United coach Wayne Rooney.

As United defeated Charlton 3-0 at Old Trafford in the Carabao Cup quarterfinal, Rashford scored twice.

The 25-year-old has now scored in eight straight home games across all competitions.

Rashford tied a record Rooney set back in 2012 by scoring against Everton in the FA Cup for the seventh straight home game.

Rashford will now have the opportunity to tie Dennis Viollet's club record of scoring in nine straight home games when the teams face off in the Manchester Derby on Saturday.

Rashford has been having a fantastic season so far, scoring 15 goals.

Rooney tweeted, “Class @MarcusRashford. Let’s keep it going” alongside several applause emojis.
