This weekend, Arsenal will play Brentford at the Emirates Stadium, and the Gunners reportedly received bad news before this game.

Emile Smith Rowe will miss this weekend's game against Brentford because of a groin injury, according to Goal. This is bad news for Arsenal. The 22-year-old has had numerous injury issues this season, which has prevented him from having the opportunity to impress his manager Mikel Arteta.

Smith Rowe has not been in the primary starting lineup for Arsenal this season, so his absence is not a major setback as they look to increase their five-point lead at the top of the table. Nevertheless, the fans will be disappointed because they want all of their players to be available for selection. The Gunners had been playing well over the previous few weeks until they traveled to Goodison Park to take on Everton, who were in danger of being relegated.

They lost to Everton 1-0 the last time they played, so they'll be hoping to beat Brentford on Saturday to get their season back on track. Arsenal's task will be made more challenging without Smith Rowe because having him in the squad would increase their chances of winning if the starting eleven can't do it.

Gabriel Jesus, who has been sidelined since December of last year after suffering an injury while representing Brazil's national football team abroad, is also unavailable for the Gunners.
