A deal has reportedly come closer in recent weeks, according to Sportsmail.

According to sources, Saka made it clear during recent discussions that he wants to remain at the Emirates Stadium with significant steps toward a successful conclusion now having been made.

It is believed that the fundamental elements of an agreement have been reached, and the parties are now focused on ironing out the specifics of the agreement.

It is anticipated that Saka will sign a new contract to put an end to the ambiguity surrounding this long-term future.

It is believed that the new, long-term contract will be worth more than £200,000 a week. With bonuses included, the agreement would probably make him the club's highest-paid player.

Meanwhile the 21-year-old will be hoping to add to his goals tally when Arsenal travel to King Power Stadium to face Leicester this weekend.

Mikel Arteta side, Arsenal will face the Foxes on Saturday evening at 4pm GMT kick off.

Saka, who seems to be Arsenal's most inform player is set to lead the attack in the game.

If you recall that English international scored his eight goal last weekend in the Gunners come back against Aston Villa which ended 4-2.
