Emiliano Martinez has made it clear he wants to leave Aston Villa in order to play Champions League football, so the club will consider any offers made to him this summer.
The Argentine paid over £16 million to transfer from Arsenal to Villa in 2020, and since then, he has established himself as one of the Premier League's top goalkeepers.
Martinez's standing increased when he played a key role in Argentina's World Cup victory in December.
The 30-year-old was hailed as Argentina's hero after he stopped Kingsley Coman and Aurélien Tchouaméni in the final's penalty shootout.
Martinez has grown even more convinced that he belongs on a bigger team as a result, and, according to the Daily Mail, he has told Villa that he wants to play in the Champions League.
Although Villa is currently 11th in the Premier League standings and has little chance of finishing in the top four, Martinez has made it clear that he wants that to happen with the team.
Villa understands Martinez's goals and will reluctantly consider any offers made for him this summer.
