Eminem’s daughter Hailie, fiancé reveal how he asked for rapper’s blessing to marry her

The famous rapper Eminem's ex-wife Kim Scott's daughter, Hailie Jade Mathers Scott, is getting married, and her fiancé talked about how it felt to ask for his approval.

After six years of dating the 27-year-old, longtime partner Evan McClintock made the big proposal earlier this month.

“Over the holidays, I was looking for an opportunity not to make it too obvious,” McClintock, 27, explained during the latest episode of his fiancée’s “Just a Little Shady” podcast.

McClintock acknowledged that he had been contemplating marriage since last summer, but it wasn't until February 4 that he actually got down on one knee.

“I saw your dad go downstairs, and I’m like, ‘I gotta do it right now, or I’m not doing it today, and I’m gonna have to schedule another time,'” McClintock recalled

And he revealed that since the rapper's daughter's birthday is on Christmas Day, it was the ideal time to snare Marshall Mathers, better known as Eminem, for a brief moment to ask him for his blessing.

“So I just followed him downstairs, and, thankfully, he was just down there getting your cake and I made it happen.”
