Erik ten, the manager of Manchester United, was seen getting angry with Fred, a Red Devil, during his team's 2-2 draw with Leeds.
Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag demonstrated that he demands the highest standards from Fred who didn't perform up to expectations in the game.
At Old Trafford, where United was forced to come back from a 2-0 deficit, Ten Hag was incensed by the Brazilian's carelessness in the second half.
Few United players, including Fred, performed poorly in the draw, further hurting the team's chances of winning the Premier League. Due to Christian Eriksen's injury and Casemiro's suspension, the 29-year-old was a rare starter in the match.
Fred lost possession, misplaced a pass, and gave up a free kick all in the space of one minute in the second half. Ten Hag was furious at the star's negligence.
Evidently shocked by the situation, the Dutchman threw his chewing gum to the ground. The head coach didn't think much of the individual mistakes after United lost 2-0 early in both halves.
According to MEN, Ten Hag's response demonstrates the high standards he wants United to establish.
It's been heard that players who frequently make mistakes or who don't give it their all will not be tolerated under Erik Den Hag.
Manchester United was fortunate to rally and force a tie. Jadon Sancho and Marcus Rashford both scored goals in the second half. The latter's goal was his first since getting back from a training program for individuals aimed at boosting his confidence.
Ten Hag was unimpressed with his stars' performance, however, and criticized them for being 'not ready' at the beginning of each half.
The 53-year-old admitted that despite telling his team to get ready for the start of the second half, Raphael Varane's own goal gave Leeds a 2-0 advantage in the first 60 seconds of the period.
"Definitely it was true that each half we are not ready.,” Ten Hag said. “I start my talk at half-time with 'hey guys we are not ready, make sure you are ready' and then we go out [and concede again] and that is the point. I am disappointed we lost all the battles in the first minutes of each half.
"You can say we won a point because when you are in a derby and come back from 2-0 down it is good. But on the other hand when you start a derby like we did it's unacceptable. You have to be ready to fight and we weren't ready for the battle."
