For the first time since the start of the main conflict, US President Joe Biden makes an unexpected trip to Ukraine.
As a sign of support and solidarity with a democratic country battling a Russian invasion that began almost a year ago, US President Joe Biden paid a surpise and historic visit to war-torn Ukraine on Monday, February 20.
Prior to Biden's arrival, the visit, which included a meeting with the president of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, was kept in strict secrecy.
A U.S. official has never done so before in modern history. S. The president has entered a conflict area without American military forces present. The Ukrainian military and police were heavily present, and much of the city's center was closed off, which caused nearby traffic to be paralyzed.
