According to reports, Jurgen Klopp wants Liverpool to sign Lautaro Martinez from Inter Milan this summer.
After a disappointing start to the season, it appears that Liverpool will reorganize their team over the summer, particularly in midfield.
Over the past two windows, the Reds have brought in Darwin Nunez and Cody Gakpo, and while Inter Live says that they are interested in Nicolo Barella, it appears that Klopp also likes Martinez.
The Italian publication asserts that Inter would demand approximately £87 million for Barella and Martinez.
Although the 25-year-old is said to be a big fan of Klopp, persuading the Nerazzurri to sell their star striker won't be easy.
Martinez has scored 13 times in 24 Serie A games this season, continuing his excellent play for Simone Inzaghi's team.
The £72 million-rated striker has been widely rumored to be considering a move to England due to his exceptional performance for Inter over the past few seasons.
However, it is uncertain whether Liverpool will attempt to sign yet another attacker. In addition to the requirement to bring in a center back, they appear to have more pressing issues in the midfield.
