Declan Rice, a West Ham midfielder, has been hailed as one of the best in the world by Newcastle United player Kieran Trippier.
The former Tottenham Hotspur defender believes the English midfielder to be superior to Manchester United's Casemiro and Arsenal's Thomas Partey.
Trippier has teamed up with Rice for England's national team and played alongside Partey at Atletico Madrid, where they both faced Casemiro at Real Madrid.
Asked to pick who is the better player among the three, the England international told FIVE: “Declan… Declan’s unbelievable.
“Probably one of the best in the world in what he does.”
Kieran Trippier has been a revelation since he arrived at the St James Park from Atlético Madrid last year.
Following two years spell with Diego Simeone men in La Liga, Trippier returned to England to help the Magpies escape relegation last season.
On whether his national teammate is rated above Casemiro, Trippier replied: “Yeah.
“As defenders like me you appreciate the likes of Michael Carrick or Declan, it makes your job easier, they’re just mopping everything up.
“Casemiro…is a world-class player, but if you’re talking right now, Dec is incredible, he’s got the age as well.”
