The President said in his speech that he had given the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) permission to redesign the Naira notes for the benefit of the economy because the majority of the printed notes were missing.
He also expressed regret to Nigerians for the challenges encountered in carrying out the naira redesign policy.
Additionally, he ordered the CBN to work with security and anti-corruption agents to make sure that no one undermines the efforts of the Federal government.
