Chelsea has cut Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang from its roster for the Champions League quarterfinals.
Graham Potter, the manager of Chelsea, has opted to start Atletico Madrid loanee Joao Felix, Enzo Fernandez, and Mykhailo Mudryk in place of the newcomers.
Despite making 11 appearances this season, Aubameyang has only scored one goal in the Premier League, but his form in Europe has been better.
The attacker, a former member of Arsenal, scored twice against AC Milan during the group stage.
Chelsea still had one open spot, but the departure of Jorginho and the subsequent deregistration of Aubameyang made room for the new three.
January signing for Chelsea Benoit Badiashile was not included in the Champions League roster.
In the 16th round of the Champions League, Chelsea will face the dominant Borussia Dortmund of the Bundesliga.
