Christian Atsu, a former player for the English Premier League team, passed away, and the Chelsea football club has joined them in their grief.
In light of the tragic news of Christian Atsu's passing and the earthquake in Turkey that has now claimed over 40,000 lives, the athletic world has started responding.
Following the unfortunate occurrence that happened in Turkey and a small portion of Syria a fortnight ago, the whereabouts of the gifted winger were unknown.
Nevertheless, early this morning, Christian Atsu's representative told newsmen that his client had been discovered dead beneath the wreckage of the Turkish building where he had been living after the devastating earthquake earlier this month.
The football team Chelsea posted on their verified Facebook page, saying: "Everyone at Chelsea Football Club is devastated to learn of the tragic passing of our former player, Christian Atsu. Our thoughts go out to his family and friends."
