In order to improve their match fitness before a busy schedule of games in March, Emile Smith Rowe and the Polish center-back lined up together.

It is likely that Smith Rowe and Kiwior will play some part against the Toffees on Wednesday night since both of them were taken off the field at halftime after strong first halves.

The January signing in particular put on a strong performance, leaving fans in awe of his talent with his poise on the ball and wide range of passing.

Smith Rowe came close to scoring twice as the young Gunners dominated the game for the most part.

Arsenal's control of the game deteriorated after the change at halftime, and they lost 1-0.

As he prepares to decide whether to use Kiwior and Smith Rowe tomorrow night against Everton, Arteta expressed his admiration for both players in a pregame interview.

The Spaniard responded as follows when asked about the duo's performance: “Really good.

"Obviously, they needed some minutes and at the moment they haven’t had much exposure for different situations. It was great to see them on the field because we’re going to need them in the next couple of games.”

Prior to the March international break, Arsenal has a stretch of six games, beginning with their Premier League matchup against Everton at the Emirates Stadium tomorrow night. With a victory over Sean Dyche's team, the Gunners could increase their lead over the defending champions Manchester City to five points.

Next week sees the return of Europa League action as the north Londoners take on Sporting CP in the round of 16. Given the significance of the title race and his desire to rotate his team, Kiwior and Smith Rowe might be set to start the first leg.
