Three Gunners stars, including Emile Smith Rowe, have received injury updates from Mikel Arteta, the manager of Arsenal.
The Gunners are preparing for their weekend Premier League clash with Brentford at the Emirates stadium on Saturday evening.
After experiencing groin pain that prevented him from playing for the entire 2022–23 season, Emile Smith Rowe underwent surgery earlier this year.
The 22-year-old international for England has made just six appearances across all competitions this year.
Smith Rowe made a brief comeback in January after having surgery, playing for 15 minutes in the FA Cup victory over League One team Oxford United and coming on in the 88th minute of the 2-0 victory over Tottenham.
He missed the FA Cup loss to Manchester City and the Premier League loss to Everton, however, after experiencing a thigh problem.
In advance of Arsenal's match against Brentford on Saturday at the Emirates, Arteta gave an update on Smith Rowe, Gabriel Jesus, and Reiss Nelson.
Arteta said: "The ones that they were long time like Emile, Reiss, and Gabi they are closer."They began working outside, but they aren't yet prepared to contribute.".
After sustaining a knee injury in Qatar during the World Cup, Jesus, a summer transfer from Manchester City to north London, hasn't played for the Gunners.
'Gabi's doing great,' Arteta continued. He has already spent some time outside.
"It's still early on, and he pushes everyone every day, but we must obey deadlines and procedures because he is progressing well.
"He is still too far away from that period, I think. You can notice that his current movements and actions are less regulated than those he was previously performing when you apply loads to that knee."
