ARSENAL have been dealt a huge blow after Kieran Tierney walked off injured during Scotland clash with Spain.

The challenge by Manchester City star Rodri last night resulted in injury for Arsenal defender Kieran Tierney, who was forced to leave the field with a limp.

Scotland defeated Spain 2-0 in a shocking upset during their qualifying matches for Europa. Tierney had a great game despite starting on the left side of a back three.

He was substituted in the 76th minute after seeming to damage his calf in the second half.

After his horrific attack on Martin Odegaard during Spain's victory over Norway at Stadium La Rosaleda in Malaga last week, the Spaniard faced criticism.

Thankfully, the captain of Arsenal avoided serious injury.

Last night, Rodri was once again active. As Tierney and the midfielder raced for the same ball, the Scotsman was caught by the Manchester City star's studs and suffered further damage.

It seems like Tierney won't be able to play this weekend when Arsenal hosts Leeds United.

Mikel Arteta won't be pleased if Tierney's injury turns out to be severe.

Oleksandr Zinchenko on the left and Ben White on the other will be the only full-backs available to the Arsenal manager. The Gunners will be in serious difficulty if one of them gets hurt or is suspended.

Despite his limited playing time this season, Tierney is still a "superb" player. In Arsenal's last game before the break against Crystal Palace, when he entered as a substitute and delivered an assist, he demonstrated his talent.
