German international Kai Havertz has said that Chelsea's choice to sell Jorginho was not the correct one.
The Chelsea striker also made note of the fact that it was not anticipated that all of the new players the team brought in over the previous two transfer windows would start playing at their best right once.
In the January transfer window, Chelsea signed players like Myhailo Mudryk, Noni Madueke, and Enzo Fernandez. With the exception of the Argentina World Cup champion, these players have not continued where they left off at their previous teams.
He revealed to The Guardian:“A dozen players have arrived since the summer; it’s not easy. Enzo [Fernández] and [Mykhailo] Mudryk have come for a lot of money and they’re only [22], you know? You cannot expect them to be Neymar straight away. It’s like me: it takes time.
Havertz sees the sale of Jorginho as a bitter pill to swallow. Insisting, “This is not right,”
“He calls me one evening and says: ‘I’m gone.’ I was like: ‘What the? How is this possible?”
