Wesley Fofana will not be participating in France's next Euro 2024 qualification games.
According to information obtained, the French defender won't take part because of an injury he picked up during Chelsea's 2-2 tie with Sean Dyche's Everton.
In the 86th minute, 22-year-old Trevoh Chalobah came in to take the center defender's spot.
Graham Potter, the head coach, said during the game that he had to be replaced because of exhaustion and hamstring problems.
Recall that Wesley Fofana was called up into the team for the first time following his performance for Chelsea.
The French Football Federation (FFF) said on Sunday that Fofana and injured Arsenal defender William Saliba will not be participating in their next qualifiers against the Netherlands and the Republic of Ireland.
Jean-Clair Todibo of Nice and Axel Disasi of Monaco have taken the position of the two injured players.
