Chelsea's Reece James reveals his toughest player he has ever faced in his career

Reece James, a CHELSEA player, has identified the two hardest opponents he has ever encountered.

James' omission of any Premier League player surprised everyone.

The right-back singled out Rafael Leao of AC Milan and Vinicius Junior of Real Madrid.

James told CFCBluesCom when asked to name the most difficult opponents he ever faced: "Vinni. Vinni is one. Vinicius.

"Say Vinni and Leao."

James has also increased his output at Stamford Bridge after making his first-team debut in 2019.

Since then, the right defender has made 140 appearances for the Blues, scoring a total of 11 goals and dishing out 20 assists.

Nevertheless, James, who missed the beginning of the season because of an ankle injury, was eventually declared ineligible for the Qatar 2022 World Cup.

James subsequently had a setback in December that caused him to miss an additional two months of play.

Graham Potter received a major boost last month with the return of the Chelsea academy graduate.

James, 24, missed Chelsea's 3-1 victory against Leicester City over the weekend, but he is now healthy following this afternoon's training session at London Colney.

Also, Graham Potter's team will need the England international to advance to the quarterfinals of the Champions League and finish in position to qualify for Europe.
