Fans' responses to Antoine Griezmann's hairdo during the Euro qualifying match between France and the Netherlands.

Football enthusiasts believe that Antoine Griezmann ought to have been sent off against the Netherlands because of his outrageous "cotton floss" hairdo.

The Atletico Madrid attacker scored as he shone for France in their first Euro 2024 qualifier at the Stadium de France on Friday night. France cruised to a comfortable win.

 Those watching the game at home were more interested with his colorful and distinctive trim than his play, which did not catch their attention.

A third supporter wrote: "He looks like a bingo dabber." One more also commented: "Griezmann should get a red card for that hair."

Another fan said: "Griezmann, you are 32 years of age, please put the hot pink hair dye down." Meanwhile, one other viewer joked: "Griezmann is one of my favourite players but this pink hair is horrific."

When he lined up in midfield to assist Randal Kolo Muani, a lone striker, Griezmann was seen with a pink buzz cut.

Griezmann scored the goal for France in the first two minutes of their 4-0 victory against the Netherlands in Paris, so it's doubtful that he will be bothered by the criticism of his hair.

The 32-year-old completed a smooth move by sweeping Kylian Mbappe's square pass past Jasper Cillessen in the opposing goal after gaining the ball back in midfield.

His 43 goals in 118 France appearances now stand, and the goal was his first since Didier Deschamps named Kylian Mbappe vice-captain after Hugo Lloris announced his retirement from international play.

After Dayot Upamecano had increased France's advantage in the first 10 minutes, Mbappe added two more goals each side of halftime.

With the Republic of Ireland, Greece, and Gibraltar joining France and the Netherlands in group B after the convincing victory, qualification for the 2018 European Championship in Germany is off to a perfect start.
