For Arsenal's Europa League matchup with Sporting Lisbon, Gabriel Jesus is expected to travel with the team to Portugal.

For the first leg of their knockout match on Thursday, the high-flying Gunners will play the giants of Portugal. They want to bring their domestic success to the European stage.

After a dramatic 3-2 victory over Bournemouth on Saturday, Mikel Arteta's team is one step closer to winning the Premier League for the first time in almost 20 years.

Jesus participated in a cool-down session following the match and celebrated the victory from the Emirates touchline.

In his absence, Arteta has turned to Eddie Nketiah. The 23-year-old, who suffered an ankle injury recently and was unable to play in the Bournemouth match, has yet to score a goal.

After sustaining a knee injury that necessitated surgery while participating in the World Cup, Jesus has not played for the Gunners since November 12.

However, it appears that the 25-year-old's rehabilitation went even better than anticipated.

According to The Sun, Jesus is likely to travel with the team to Lisbon on Wednesday.

According to the report, Arteta is taking advantage of the opportunity to reintegrate the striker into team training sessions rather than taking any risks with the player.

Jesus, on the other hand, is unlikely to play against Fulham on Sunday, and a full return is not expected until after the international break.

His first chance to play again has been identified as Arsenal's April 1 home match against Leeds.
