Gabriel Jesus has returned to the field for the first time since suffering a knee injury during the World Cup.

The Brazilian international came off the bench for the Arsenal in their 3-0 victory against Fulham after sustaining a knee injury during the 2022 World Cup that necessitated surgery.
Jesus entered the match against Fulham at Craven Cottage for the last 13 minutes.

While preparations to win the English top division are intensified, Arsenal welcomed important players back into the fold, giving him his first playing action at club level since November.


The 25-year-old who joined Arsenal from Manchester City for fee in region of 45m pounds replaced Gabriel Martinelli. 

Arsenal maintain their their lead at the top of the Premier League table after comfortable 3-0 win over Fulham. 

First half goals from Gabriel Magalhães, Martinelli and just before half time Martin Odegaard swept the third goal. 

After their win against Fulham, Arsenal has reclaimed a five-point lead over Manchester City at the top of the Premier League standings.

In the meanwhile, Mikel Arteta's team is scheduled to return to action on Thursday when they take on Sporting in the second leg of their Europa League round of 16 matchup.
