Casemiro became the first Manchester United player since Nemanja Vidic in 2013-14 to get two red cards in a single Premier League season.
The former Real Madrid player was dismissed from the game for a tackle that caught Carlos Alcaraz after referee Anthony Taylor looked at the video.
After United adjusted to playing with 10 men, the Brazilian midfielder walked over to Alcaraz to apologize for his studs-up tackle before leaving the field of play.
The Brazilian midfielder, who has already been dismissed this season after receiving a straight red card, will now miss the next four games.
Casemiro will miss the following fixtures for Manchester United:
Newcastle United (A)
Brentford (H)
Everton (H)
Nottingham Forest (A)
